Hello, I'm Su ...
I’m an artist and maker living in the delightful, river-side village of Stanford, close to the tip of Africa. With the beautiful city of Cape Town just over a two-hour drive away, we truly have the best of both worlds.
I studied painting as part of my degree and I’ve had some wonderful jobs over my decades of working. I loved being art director of House & Leisure magazine and décor buyer for Weylandt’s Homestore but art and craft have always been my passion.
I’ve given up trying to work out what it is I actually ‘do’ – painting, sewing, making cards, silk screening, beading – I have loved them all. I am now concentrating on painting and stitching and sharing my joy with others through giving workshops.
These are a few of my favourite things: travelling (especially to Japan), rummaging for hidden treasures at flea markets, walking outdoors with my dog Ruby, Karoo road trips with my husband Chris, palm trees, panda bears and spending ‘crafternoons’ with a bunch of creative friends.
